Last saturday we talked about liberkey, a suite of about 260 freeware programs that can be used on a USB Stick. it can be downloaded on liberkey.comThere are various editions starting with the basic (very few programs) up to ultimate about 260 Programs. You can add programs later and all in stalled programs are updated automatically. To use the programs you have to download the executable liberkey file and start it. when asked where to install, you browse for your stick and give it an ok. The stick should have a minimum of one GB so you can store any created own documents or files on the stick as well. The programs will not interfere with your system. One nice feature of liberkey is the file association which means, that once you doubleclick on lets say a pdf file, liberkey will automatically start the included program (foxit reader). Next week i´ll show you how to activate the file associations automatically. Once the stick is introduced the autostart program will start the liberkey suite and keep it in the background. so once you close liberkey in will remain in the taskbar and can be started from there. it will not load all the programs at starting time but only liberkey. The Suite consists of categories and subcategories that are arranged very intuitively, so all experience levels can find and enjoy the included programs. Next week we will take a closer look to this fantastic peace of software, so stay tuned. Andreas

Hi everybody, last friday we looked into the depth of Liberkey and i´m shure some of you have installed this fine peace of software on your USB Sticks. I have done so as well and found some limitation with the autostart once you put in the stick.
Liberkey will not automatically start in windows 7 due to security reasons introduced with win 7
To start the Liberkey suite on the stick you have to use open directory option and go to the liberkey folder and hence doubleclick on the liberkey application. But that should not infringe the usefulness of the program itself! Maybe John can borrow me some time in the first session on Saturday so i can demonstrate how to do this
Greetings from Polop
Andreas
