I have an Acer Aspire laptop and when on line have no problem seeing and hearing my contacts. when I am on Skype My contacts can see me but cannot hear me speak, My laptop has built in speakers and microphone and I have follwed Skype instructions on configuration, We have recently changed our landline to roundtownnetwork and was wondering if this could be the problem with a connection

The problem is not with Roundtown but in your settings on your notebook. In control panel search for "microphone" and you will get "Speach recognition options" "Set up microphone" Hope this works, otherwise wait ´til Saturday.

Also check in the options of your audio setting for Skype to have the right microphone activated. (see attachment) the microphone there should be changed to yours. check and make a free test call to see wether it works Greets from polop Andreas Attachments:
